captain chaos started in the fall of 2004 when i wrote a song and recorded it in the same day and gave it to someone as a gift. i tried to write and record one song a day. i only made it 8 days. those 8 songs along with 7 others are on the first album, "may all liars burn in hell". the idea was/is to write songs without thinking about them. to be pure in writing and hold nothing back. sometimes it's good. sometimes it's pretty fucking bad. you take what you get. today, i still write and record the songs as fast as possible and in 1 or 2 takes max. i also have a rule of never crossing out any line i write for a song. i never intended this project to go any further than being a project. i didn't plan on playing live but i ended up doing it anyway. at first this "band" had no name, until the day spoonboy stole my songs from my room and released them on a tape. he needed a name for the tape and knew that i didn't want it to be called by my true name. so he called it/me/my band, captain chaos. since then i have released 4 albums and will be finishing 2 more before winter is over. i play shows sometimes, when i have to, when my real band can't play. i think captain chaos is dumb. i hate it most of the time. but, i love singing songs.        - CHRIS
